With a degree in Public Relations, a career that spans travel, technology, advertising, and social media, Melissa can’t remember a time when she wasn’t writing. Her work has been accepted for publication in Vox Poetica, When Women Waken, Iodine Poetry Journal, and Writing for Peace, among others.
In 2012, Melissa founded Women Writers of the Triad, a support and educational group for local women writers, along with founding 20 Lines a Day, an online community writers, artists and photographers with more than 50 resident artists. She is also a member of the North Carolina Poetry Society and Writers Group of the Triad and co-organizer for Triad Poetry Meetup.
